Most people come to see me because they’re in pain.

That pain might be in the neck, back, hips, shoulders, or legs.
It might be linked to work, training, stress, or something that’s built up over time.
Often, it’s something that keeps returning despite rest or short-term treatment.

My work is centred around remedial treatment — identifying what’s contributing to pain and addressing it properly, not just chasing symptoms.

My approach to treatment

I work in a calm, structured way.
Sessions aren’t rushed and pressure is always adapted.

Every appointment starts with understanding:

  • where you’re experiencing pain

  • how long it’s been going on

  • how it’s affecting your movement or daily life

Hands-on sports and remedial massage is the main focus of treatment.
This is used to reduce pain, ease protective muscle tension, and improve how joints and tissues move.

Treatment is never about “working through pain for the sake of it”.
The aim is to help your body settle, respond, and move more comfortably.

Why movement still matters

For many people, pain isn’t just about one tight muscle.

Restricted movement, reduced strength, or guarding after injury can all contribute to symptoms returning.
That’s where simple movement and mobility work can help.

When appropriate, I can support treatment with:

  • basic mobility work

  • gradual reintroduction to movement

  • gym-based exercise programs for those returning after pain or injury

This isn’t about pushing people into training.
It’s about supporting recovery so pain becomes easier to manage over time.

Hands-on treatment remains central — movement is added when it supports progress.

Who I work with

I regularly work with people who:

  • are dealing with ongoing or recurring pain

  • feel stiff, restricted, or guarded

  • are unsure how much they should be doing

  • are nervous about flare-ups

  • want a steady, sensible approach

Many are returning to exercise.
Some aren’t ready for that yet — and that’s fine too.
